Today, 22 December 2019, the Sun moves out of the adventurous and out-going energy of Sagittarius and into the grounded, disciplined and ambitious energy of Capricorn. Capricorn energy has already had us under its influence for quite some time now thanks to Saturn and Pluto transiting through this sign of the zodiac, so we are all more than used to the feelings of restriction, control and seriousness that we are being subjected too, and in particular over the last 2 years. As the Sun now enters this sign and joins Jupiter, Pluto and Saturn already firmly placed here, on the one hand, it could have the feeling of “groundhog day”, but on the other hand, things could start feeling a lot more loaded and extreme. Every month when the Sun shifts signs we move into a new energy or theme for that month ahead, and we have now moved into the importance of focus, hard work, discipline and patriarchal out-dated traditions and ways of being. Every month has a different focus because our lives are a constantly changing journey and there are always times when a certain type of focus or intent is more supported than others by the cosmos. And, every year when the Sun moves into your own sign of the zodiac you start a whole new journey along your life path, and this is known as your Solar Return. Every year of your life holds new experiences, challenges and events that are designed to shape you into who you truly are and teach you more about yourself and the life you have chosen to live. Saturn has one more year in the sign of Capricorn before he moves off into the greener pastures of Aquarius, therefore this next year ahead for you all can be one of steady and positive growth if you allow yourselves to find the joy in your lives and focus on what is good around you in every way. The North Node is currently in Cancer and is the only energy out there opposing this Capricorn tsunami gaining momentum in the heavens. She is our shining light at the end of the tunnel, the hope, awareness, strength and belief that we all need to keep going – she is our destiny and she is represented by compassion, equality, understanding and LOVE.
