When Venus transits the sign of Libra, she is coming home to roost so to speak.  Venus is one of the planets that rules Libra and so when she comes home, she is more powerful and more applicable in every way.

Venus is the planet of love, beauty and money and wherever she is moving through our Charts at this time is where we get to focus more on these areas of our lives to learn and to evolve as souls on a journey.

Libra is the sign of the zodiac most connected to balance and harmony.  It is a “people pleasing” sign of the zodiac that is constantly aware of trying to keep things balanced and fair in all ways.

The ultimate people-pleaser

So, when these 2 energies come together, we can find ourselves becoming even more easy-going and people pleasing than we usually are.  We don’t want to cause any disruption we just want what is easy, pleasant and fair for all.

Because Venus rules love, we feel we need to keep the balance here and may go out of our way to maintain this.  And because Venus also rules beauty, when she is in Libra, we may feel inspired to create or to change the way we look in some way.  And, as she also rules money, when she is in Libra, she is looking for more ways to balance your finances and your attitude towards money in general and she will also have an eye out for all that is beautiful.

This short transit through Libra is enough to give us all a bit of nudge to raise our values in all of these areas.  As easy-going as Libran energy can be, it also knows that putting a value on itself and what it has to offer is vital to being involved in and an integral part of society. 

Venus in Libra is a great opportunity to look at your finances to be aware of what needs balancing out here.  Are you spending more than you earn? Or, does money just see to slip through your fingers?  And most  importantly, are you putting enough of a value and worth on what you do to earn money?  In other words, are you making sure that you are receiving your worth from clients and employers?  When Venus is at home in Libra, she also gives us an extra dose of charm, especially when dealing with others.  So, we can use this energy to speak up and ask for what we know we deserve and more often than not this will be well received and you will get what you are asking for, quite simply because you put a worth on yourself and then stood your ground.

Put a worth on yourself and stick to it

Standing your ground, putting a worth on yourself and knowing your value are qualities we all must embrace if we wish to manifest and create what we need in our lives.  Venus in Libra can really help you to raise your worth, to put more of a value on you and what you do so as you and those around you can align with you in every way.  Libra rules all that is fair and just, and so during this transit and also due to the power of Eclipse Season at this time, it will be a lot more obvious to everyone what is fair and just in their personal lives, and in the world around them, and you may even find yourself wanting to speak up or do something about this.

And because you do have this extra dose of charm and good looks over the coming weeks, it is a great time to ask for what you want and to go over the things you desire.  Venus rules beauty and this transit may also inspire you to redecorate your home as well as yourself.  What is beautiful, luxurious and brings in a sense of elegance will be very attractive to you and you will also want to share whatever beauty or comfort you create in your home with others during this time.

As Libra rules balance, when Venus comes home this also becomes more of a priority in our lives and at this time with so much happening on the earth plane, we can work more easily and become more aware of where we need to have more balance and harmony in our lives.  But watch out you are not giving away too much of your energy to the needs of others simply so as you can have more peace in your life – your happiness and your needs are just as important as those of others, if not more so.  And so even if it does feel uncomfortable, stand your ground and stick to your guns!

As Libra is an Air sign it is to do with communication and imagination.  So, once again with Venus at home here until 10 September, our ability to communicate in a charming, entertaining and easy-doing fashion is also highlighted.  This makes these days a great time to put yourself out there in some way.  Jupiter is in Leo expanding on all things social, creative and individual and so when we add the charm and beauty of Venus to this it makes for a very easy and optimum time to meet new people and to socialise in general.

One of the most powerful traits of Libran energy is its diplomacy and ability to say the right thing at the right time.  This means that this transit could be an excellent time to mend old rifts or to speak your truth as you will be able to find the right words and the right ways of expressing yourself that will be acceptable and easily understood by others.  And of course you are extra charming so who wouldn’t forgive you??

From a global perspective Venus in Libra can bring more diplomacy and understanding politically and in the business world as well.  Negotiations and mediations taking place during this transit have a lot more potential for resolution as under this influence it is easier for everyone to see and understand the points of view and opinions of others.  Libran energy has this amazing ability to point out perspectives that you may not have even thought of, and in doing so opens up conversations and negotiations for greater understanding and harmony.
