Uranus moved into Gemini for his 7 year transit through this sign of the zodiac on 26 April 2026 and this will be his first Retrograde move since then. 

Uranus is the planet of sudden and unexpected change, independence and higher awareness.  I like to refer to him as “Mr Curveball”, as whenever he comes into play it is best to just expect the unexpected!

Gemini is the planet of change, communication, diversity and mental busyness.  Gemini is an Air sign and so full of imagination and energy for thinking and creating on a daily basis.

So, when the planet of change joins the sign of change – guess what we are up for, A LOT of change – things will be super-busy, eventful and full of opportunities and experiences that are designed to keep us on our  toes and to develop our discernment.

Uranus in Gemini = Peter Pan on steroids!

Uranus in Gemini is like Peter Pan on steroids!  We want to be involved in everything, have a piece of everything and be able to do everything and we don’t really want to take any of it too seriously.  The ability to dip our toes into different areas is extremely appealing, but under this influence we more than ever run the risk of becoming the “jack of all trades and the master of none” – something Gemini energy is renowned for.

I feel that the main purpose of this transit at this time on the earth plane is to help humanity to become more discerning and to be more aware of their sovereignty and ability to critically think for themselves.  There is SO much information and misinformation out there at this time, all designed to confuse and bamboozle us on a daily basis.  We can’t do everything that is presented to us, and we can’t be everything to everyone and this transit will teach us this in many different ways.

While Uranus is in Direct motion in Gemini, we are constantly being pulled into our outer worlds and being confronted by opportunities for change, growth and new experiences and as I said before, we cannot do them all.  For most of you, the last 4+ months of Uranus Direct in Gemini have brought some significant and not so significant changes in your lives.  And there will also have been changes and experiences that you had to let go or put on the back burner as there simply wasn’t enough time to get everything done.  Now is a good time to reflect on the last 4 months and how well you achieved your goals, and also how much you did not get round too or had to say no too.  It has been all action and go, go, go – but are you on the right track?

Self-belief is the key

Uranus Retrograde in Gemini is asking us to reassess our habits and behaviours – particularly our mental and internal ones.  You see you can work 24 hours a day to achieve a goal, you can put in the hard yards, burn the midnight oil and work yourself to death BUT if you don’t believe in yourself and/or in what you are doing, you will not make a lot of headway and whatever you are working on will not prove to be sustainable or lasting.

This Retrograde cycle is your opportunity look at your deep beliefs, habits and thought processes to see if they are actually aligned with who you truly are and what you wish to achieve.  Uranus loves change and so he is asking you to look within at what you can change about yourself that is no longer needed, is outworn or just simply doesn’t make sense in your life any more.

We are in the Year of Sovereignty and so this means we are being asked to get real with OURSELVES.  If you are honest with yourself, following the path your heart is leading you down and able to view all of this from a higher perspective then you are on track.  And if you are not, then Uranus Retrograde in Gemini will really help you to see where you are out of alignment.  This alignment allows you to be who you truly are; it brings out your authenticity and your ability to think for yourself so you can have more confidence in your versatility and abilities.  As a result of this you may feel a lot more compelled to speak up and act upon what you feel is right.  This independent energy adds to our individuality and allows us all to see what we personally bring to the table and how your personal view or opinion is of value and importance at any given time.  During this transit you may find it harder to involve yourself in anything that does not resonate with you or work for you in some way.

One of the themes of Uranus in Gemini is to do with the advancement of communications.  AI is now well ingrained in our daily lives in some form or other, and it most definitely has its uses.  Uranus happily and expertly thinks outside the box with innovation and ingeniousness and so it only makes sense that this energy will instigate different and  more advanced means of communication.  Telepathy will become something we all naturally find ourselves doing.  We are already finding that it is easier to “read” people and to know what they are thinking simply because of the influence of Uranus in Gemini.  So this 7 year transit will definitely further advance communications of all kinds, including closer communications with the Galactics, the Devic Kingdom, animals and nature.

What you think is what you create

This powerful Retrograde period will be a great opportunity for us to really look into the power of our minds.  What you think is what you create, and this will become increasingly if not glaringly obvious over the next few years.  Mindfulness and the ability to control your thoughts so as they work for you rather than against you will be something we all have to further develop if we are to create and live the life we desire.  

So, use this Retrograde period to become a lot more aware of your inner workings and to listen to what your beliefs are telling you – especially the self-defeating ones.  The more aware you are of what can trip you up and hold you back internally, the more you can get out of your own way to create what will push you forward and support you along your soul’s journey.  And one more thing, use this period to connect more and communicate more directly with your Higher Self – ask for help and insight and allow your higher awareness to guide you as it ALWAYS has your best interests at heart and will never let you down.  Blessings xox
