Uranus spends approximately 7 years in a sign of the zodiac and he has been transiting through Taurus since March 2019 and will remain in this sign until 7 July 2025.

The outer planets tend to spend more time in each sign of the zodiac because the lessons they have to teach us tend to be the more important and life-changing lessons that take time, experience and often hard work to get through.

Uranus is the planet of sudden and unexpected change as well as independence.  And the planet Uranus also encourages higher-thinking and a more holistic and collective perception of things.  When we embrace the energy of Uranus, we embrace change and change that, whether we like it or not, is ALWAYS for our highest good.  The challenge is that Uranus is Mr Curve Ball and the changes he brings our way are, more often than not, what we think we DON’T need, but that in actual fact, 99.9% of the time are exactly what we DO need – we just can’t see it yet.

Taurus energy is very driven by security and mostly security in the forms of money and assets.  Taurus is an earth sign and so not particularly open to change and particularly not so when it comes from left field.  The energy of Taurus is very methodical, hardworking and sensitive and for many Taureans having to do something or see something in a different light or way can be very challenging for them.  Once a Taurean has made their mind up literally nothing will make them change it.

Healing with Uranus and Taurus Energy

So, when we add the planet of upheaval and curveballs to the stationary and stubborn energy of Taurus we can have quite a battle on our hands – and this is what we have been experiencing for the last 6+ years.

What we have found during this transit is a big focus on money and assets and how this has been quite a challenge for many.  With jobs being replaced by technology, more automations and digital procedures in all that we do and the inability for some to be able to earn and provide like they used too, it has not been an easy ride.  As I write this Los Angeles is burning – and from what we can see it’s the money and power of Los Angeles that is being the hardest hit, perhaps showing us the irrelevance and fragility of money and assets when it comes up against Mother Nature.  And we are also seeing and hearing how the ”powers that be” whose role it is to help and assist with this disaster, such as insurance companies, have removed their support and taken away the security they are supposed to offer.  This situation is very much a product of Uranus in Taurus and the crumbling and re-assessing of what is valuable to us.

The more change we have to navigate the more we start to realise the importance of being able to rely on ourselves for not only support and guidance but to be ALL that we need to be to help ourselves.  We have seen under this transit that those that we have relied upon to date to have our backs and to help us out, are becoming fewer and further away, or they have simply disappeared from our lives or don’t exist anymore.  Therefore, we are forced to look to ourselves, our own resources, abilities, intelligence and critical thinking to solve our problems and challenges.

Uranus has been in Retrograde in Taurus for the last approximately 5 months which has meant that we have been really looking into our inner security and our inner support systems so that once he moves into Direct motion on 31 January 2025, we will be feeling more confident and surer of what we have and what we can do with that.  Time and time again we are reminded that it all starts with YOU.  In this scenario we are being asked to embrace change and then use it for our highest good by going with it, utilising what we have, making the best of what we are good at and becoming part of a community where we can support one another.

We have just 6 more months of Uranus in Taurus before he moves into Gemini energy for the next 7 years.  We can use these next 6 months to really work on our sense of security, safety and clarity in this world.  Your greatest assets are the gifts and talents you bring to the table, and the more you can work on and expand upon these parts of yourself the more you will have to offer, share and work with.  Taurus energy is very hard-working and very methodical and so good structures, plans and programs can be created at this time that are designed to move us forward with a destination in mind.

It is time for humanity to see and understand true security.  No amount of money, prestige, status or success can bring you a happiness that is sustainable and lasting.  The only thing that can bring this into your life is YOU and your inner peace, self-love and self-belief. 

One of the most powerful things that has come out of this journey of Uranus through Taurus is the reminder of how connected we are to Mother Earth.  During this transit many have rediscovered gardening and the joy of growing food that can be eaten, stored, preserved and shared with others.  We have also during this time started to re-realise the importance of community and working together as a team.  Taurus energy is always more than happy to become a part of something, to join forces for the greatest good, and many of you have found or are finding your place in the community around you due to this.

So, use these next 6 months to develop and share the best parts of you.  Embrace the changes that are coming your way in the knowledge that even if they do feel uncomfortable or just plain wrong to start with, that they will be exactly what you need for the direction you are taking, at this time.

Change is the only constant and Uranus in Taurus, one of the most stubborn signs of the zodiac is teaching us that even the most stoic and the most stuck in their ways can benefit from change – even when they don’t like it!  Uranus changes everything and ALWAYS for your highest good and its okay to embrace this, run with this and see where it takes you and what then manifests in your life.  At the end of this transit your life will have changed significantly in some way, you will have stepped out of an old way of being and revolutionised yourself and your life in some way so as you can continue to evolve and grow along your soul’s journey.
