On 12 August 2026 we have a Solar Eclipse in Leo which will not be visible from New Zealand but will be visible in the Northern Hemisphere particularly Greenland and Iceland.  It is said that where an Eclipse is the most visible will be the area(s) of the world that can expect the most activation from this event.

Solar Eclipses represent new beginnings and they are a time where the Universe can very suddenly and positively move you forward.  They can be like an unspoken energy that just pushes you towards your destiny, whether you are ready for it or not, and is always designed for your highest good.

This Solar Eclipse is falling in Leo which means it will be a New Moon in Leo joining the Sun, South Node and Jupiter all already sitting in this powerful sign of the zodiac.

Solar Eclipses = New Beginnings

So, if Solar Eclipses propel you forward towards new beginnings and new opportunities, then that means that when it occurs in Leo the new beginnings and new opportunities are about creating new leadership possibilities, the ability to express yourself openly confidently and creatively, and the courage to stand up and take the lead in some way.  However, because there will be an abundance of Leo energy at this time, it could also be very easy to fall into “my way or the highway” and/or “it’s all about me” energy.

This Solar Eclipse will make you very aware of how aligned and authentic you really are as the actions you wish to take at this time will need to be genuine in every way.  Any feelings or motivations based on personal glory, your reputation, your EGO and your need to be recognised and adored will create significant tension and discomfort at this time, and if you act from this perspective your opportunities for new beginnings will either not manifest for you, or they will be very short-lived.

If you are going to be a leader, if you are going to put yourself out there and take the stand up in some way, you must be aligned for the highest good of ALL concerned.  The Age of Aquarius is demanding that we look outside of ourselves to create communities and tribes that we can work with rather than feeling we have to do it alone or do it just for our own gratification and glory.  Those days are over; they are part of the 3D world we are moving out of and so the more you cling to your own superficial or ego-driven needs the less likely you are to move forward and find success and fulfilment in your life.

We are moving from “me” to “we”

At the time of this Solar Eclipse, and for the 6 months after it where the Eclipse energy is still potent and activated, you will be given opportunities to align with your true purpose and to move forward towards your destiny but to do so you will  have to let go of the ego drive for validation, kudos and notoriety.  The more you can take your goals and beliefs for yourself and your future and activate them for the highest good of all concerned rather than just for your own, the more aligned you will be and the more likely you will be to achieve the best through the opportunities and experiences being offered to you.  We are moving out of the patriarchal “ME” and into the matriarchal “WE”.  For so long as we do not come together as one and do not celebrate all our diversities and unique gifts and talents, we are powerless – like thousands of feathers with no body to attach to.  Our power moving forward is to unite in our differences; to love and celebrate what each and every one of us brings to the table and to believe in who we truly are, with love acceptance and joy.
