On 17 February 2026 we have the first eclipse of 2026 and it will fall at 28 degrees of Aquarius. As this is also a New Moon, and it is the first day of the Chinese New Year of the Fire Horse, AND, it falls just days before the mighty Neptune Saturn conjunction in Aries – there is A LOT to unpack with this eclipse.
Firstly, it’s the first solar eclipse of a whole new 9 year cycle. Solar eclipses fall on New Moon, and as we know New Moons are our monthly opportunity to set our intentions for the month ahead – they encourage and support us to focus on what is important to us, and to envisage and believe what we are capable of manifesting at this time. When a Solar Eclipse occurs at the same time as a New Moon it turbo boosts the New Moon energy, propelling us forward and allowing us to take giant steps along our life path.

Solar eclipses represent new beginnings – our opportunity to really step forward and embrace whatever it is that we need at this time – whether we believe we are ready or not. This powerful solar eclipse in Aquarius occurs on the same day as the beginning of the Chinese New Year – the Year of the Fire Horse. We have completed the Year of the Wood Snake and in doing so we shed our skins – we let go of what no longer fit us or served us. Now is the time to start creating the foundations and structure for what you want to get off the ground over now and in the future, so don’t be afraid to think big, think outside the box and think and envisage what YOU truly want.
