16 November 2024 – 25 May 2025
Saturn is the teacher and disciplinarian of the zodiac and from an esoteric astrology perspective, he is the most important planet in our Charts. The planet Saturn shows us where we have to get real, face our fears, work hard and focus on what is for our highest good. And although he is the toughest taskmaster of the zodiac, he is also the greatest rewarder too.
As our teacher Saturn pushes us to do our best and to take responsibility for our own lives. It takes Saturn approximately 28 – 30 years to move through each House in your Chart, therefore astrologically we do not believe that you are an adult until you reach around the age of 30 years old. This is known as your “Saturn Return”. As only by then have you looked at your greatest life lessons in each area of your life. This means that 28 – 30 will usually present you with a life experience designed to encourage you to grow up, take responsibility for your own life, happiness and success, and truly step into adulthood. Depending on what you have chosen to learn from, this can be a very challenging time or a very rewarding time.
If you were born between 15 February 1935 and 14 January 1938, or, 25 March 1966 and 3 March 1967, or, 30 January 1994 and 7 April 1996, then you were born with Saturn in Pisces in your Natal Chart. And so, this also means that you are currently in either your first or second Saturn Return.
Saturn in Pisces carries the life lessons of the need for more focus, determination and hard work and the need to be more present in your own life to ensure your success. Souls born with this placement often find the energies of the earth plane very harsh, and so often find that rather than compete and put themselves out there, its easier and safer to go under the radar, disappear into their own worlds, and only do as much as you need too to get by. There can be a great fear of taking on too much or being too much, as you may not feel that you can live up too it on a constant basis. And so, it’s a lot easier when you have Saturn in Pisces to be the person who gets involved but doesn’t take responsibility. Or the person who finds it easier to not challenge themselves to do better or be more, because it’s simply easier to just exist and sit on the fence of life. So, at your Saturn Return times you will be challenged to face the reality of “what do YOU want, and what are your prepared to do to get it?”
You see Saturn represents what we need to take seriously and it has the belief that there is no real gain in life without pain. It believes that we need structure, discipline, hard work and focus if we are to achieve anything in life and its not until we have given this and proven this, that we deserve to be rewarded for it.
Pisces energy is quite the opposite – it likes to just go with the flow, find the easiest way to achieve anything, to create rather than to be practical and to feel its way through things rather than working hard to achieve its goals. Pisces doesn’t want to be grounded or practical, it wants to manifest and create through feeling and thinking into things rather than doing the hard yards.
So, when these two come together something’s got to give. We have to find structure amongst our creativity, we need to balance what we feel with what we know and we have to allow our intuition or gut instinct to be heard. AND we have to move out of the belief that we are here to serve, and into the belief that we are here to share.
We are not here to serve we are here to share
How many of you reading this have Saturn in Pisces and have no idea what you want – just for you and just for your happiness? How may of you have even asked yourself this question?
The opposite sign of the zodiac to Pisces is Virgo and all the opposing signs of the zodiac always have a common thread between them. The commonality between Pisces and Virgo is their need to serve. For Virgos the need to serve comes from a need to manage, organise and take care of things for others and this can come across at times as being very controlling. The need to serve for Pisceans is a different one; this need comes more from the belief that it is easier to follow others and take care of things than it is to go out on your own or take responsibility for your own personal actions and words.
So, when Saturn enters Pisces, whether you have this placement in your Natal Chart or not, it’s a time of awakening our inner worlds and aligning what we feel and intuit in life with what we logically think and do. It is a time where we are all encouraged to listen to our inner voice, to realise that there is a deeper meaning to everything and to not be afraid to put ourselves first.
We are not here to serve others over and above ourselves
Saturn has been transiting through Pisces since 8 March 2023 and will continue to move through this sign of the zodiac until 25 May 2025 when he will move into Aries triggering a massive shift in our consciousness and the ways that we see ourselves and how we do things.
On 16/17 November 2024 Saturn will move into Direct motion in Pisces and will stay this way until he transits into Aries on 25 May 2025. So, this means we will have around 6 months to take action and use this energy to help ourselves to become more focused, more in tune with our inner worlds and more aware of how we can serve by sharing what we know and what we have developed, for the highest good of all concerned. This will be a time of surrendering to what we know is for our highest good and knowing that when we allow ourselves to serve and share what we love, we are aligning ourselves with the energy of the Universe. We are learning to balance our dreams, fantasies and aspirations with reality so we can find practical ways to achieve these things rather than just dabbling in them and not seeing where they could take us. Too often Pisces energy carries so much creativity, but it is not taken seriously enough and therefore so often not shared or allowed to attain the success and notoriety that it deserves.
Saturn in Pisces is asking the world to get real and to not be afraid to take action on what feels right to you. We have to really look at our expectations from life and align these with who we truly are. We cannot expect to run until we have learned to walk and we cannot expect to achieve our goals if we haven’t set any. Pisces is the energy of illusion and so where this is found in your Chart can simply be where you just don’t see things as factually or clearly as you could resulting in you living in a dream or fantasy in a particular area of your life and therefore not being able to actually achieve anything worthwhile or sustainable here. So, with Saturn currently challenging this part of your Chart and life, let him to show you where you need to be more down to earth and practical, but do not allow him to take you away from the importance of what you feel and intuit. Its about merging the two energies.
Saturn in Pisces and Neptune in Pisces are both moving into Aries energy in 2025 and this means we are stepping out of the global dream/nightmare/illusion we are currently in, towards clarity, transparency and personal empowerment. We need to be ready for this new energy and so the best way to prepare right now is to learn to see where you are not fully present in your life; where you give your energy away and “serve” others rather than yourself and where you slack off and don’t do what you know needs to be done for you to step up and create a successful, positive and abundant life.
The next time Saturn moves into Pisces will be from 12 January 2053 until 22 March 2055 so let’s not wait until then to put ourselves first and to ask that ever important question “what do I want from my life?” Use these last 6 months or so of Saturn in Pisces to work on what you want, and to take action to put this into place, once and for all. Now is the time to serve YOU and to put energy, love and hard work into YOU so you can make your dreams your reality. Blessings xox
