Finally, the long-awaited solid shift of Pluto out of Capricorn and into Aquarius is finally here!! It’s been a long journey of around 17 years of Pluto in Capricorn and there have been many lessons this transit has taught us.
Pluto in Capricorn taught us about structure, obedience, the traditional ways of doing things and the power of commerce and capitalism. Under this influence everything was about money and success based on wealth and material assets. We all strived for more and to do and be more, thinking and believing that without effort there would be no reward. Under the influence of Pluto in Capricorn there was no gain without pain, and the gap between the “have’s” and the “have nots” became larger than it has been in centuries.
While Pluto was in Capricorn we were living in a top-down system whereby the very few at the top did incredibly well financially, owned all the biggest global companies and therefore had all the power, and what was leftover was allowed to trickle down to the rest of us. We became a world full of people striving to do better and be better, but doing so not for personal growth and evolvement but more for status, money and power. Social media and other outside influences were created and construed to make us believe that the more you have the more successful you are, and life became very serious and all about achieving and pushing ourselves, whilst forgetting to stop and celebrate who we are and what we already have.
The energy of Aquarius is very different and will come as a welcome breath of fresh air for most of us. But this is not to say that Pluto in Aquarius is going to solve the problems of the world overnight, or be an easy ride. Remember, Pluto is a very slow-moving planet and he will transit the sign of Aquarius for around 20 years bringing slow but inevitable transformation to all of those who are willing to change and look forward to new solutions and let go of the old broken world that we currently live in.
Change your life with Aquarian energy
Pluto is the planet of transformation and so whatever sign of the zodiac he is sitting in is where he is going to bring that energy of change. Pluto rules Scorpio and is also the ruler of the underworld so it is his job to show us our shadow and then to show us how we can transform the shadow into the light – or how we can take our challenges and weaknesses in life and turn them into positivity and strength.
Aquarius is the energy of “we” not “me” – a major difference to Capricorn energy which is very driven by its own ambitions and personal need for success. So, as we move through this Aquarian transit it will become more and more obvious and natural for us to work together; to welcome each other’s differences; and to come together to connect and create communities of like-mindedness and inclusion. We will also become a lot more innovative and ingenious in our thinking which will in turn help us to find the new solutions for the old problems of the world and to step out of the outdated ways and into our future. Our absolute transformation comes when we realise that it is the people who truly have the power and when we stand together as one, nothing can stop us.
The shadow side of Aquarius is that it can be too liberal, too idealistic, too “out there” and too technological. Now as we know technology has grown hard and fast over the last few decades and it continues to grow and evolve at an incredible pace. We can use technology to solve a lot of problems and to make life easier for ourselves as well, but at what cost?
It is my belief that humanity is now re-enacting the Fall of Atlantis. Back in the time of this ancient civilisation, many thousands of years ago, there was Atlantis and there was Lemuria. Both of these civilizations were highly advanced and could use the energy of crystals, telepathy, telekinesis, teleportation, intuition and other supernatural powers that we cannot even imagine, and they worked hand in hand with the energies of Mother Earth and the energies of the Universe or Spirit World. They connected readily with the other Beings that inhabit our galaxy and they could manifest and create everything they wanted through their very solid belief systems and the energy of unconditional love that they so believed in. However, as time went by the Atlanteans became more and more obsessed with technology and what they could do with machines and physical tools as opposed to their own minds, the natural resources of our planet and the energy of the Spirit world. The Atlanteans saw what they were doing as the ultimate progress and the more they explored this the better they thought they were than the Lemurians and the less interest, love and respect they had for our planet and all that it had to offer.
The Lemurian people were very disturbed by these developments of the Atlanteans and observed their behaviour for some time before they felt they needed to intervene. And so many advisors, negotiators and wise ones were sent to Atlantis from Lemuria to convince the Atlanteans that they were going on the wrong direction and to bring them back to the power and beauty of our planet and the forces of the Universe that they were supposed to be working with. But the Atlanteans would not listen. And so, within a short time, the entire continent of Atlantis sank into the sea never to be seen again. And the Lemurian civilization was so devastated and so horrified that they could not save Atlantis that they took themselves into the heart of Mother Earth where they have stayed until this time.
As I look around the world today, I see exactly the same thing happening all over again. Humanity is moving in the direction of technology once again which in itself is not a problem but when we are sacrificing the health of our planet and our connection to the Universe/Spirit to do so, it is NOT a good thing.
It is also my belief that we are all here and having a life on the earth plane at this time because we have ALL chosen to play a role in making sure that this does NOT happen again. I believe that everyone alive right now who is born with Chiron in Pisces or Chiron in Aquarius in particular, was a part of those ancient times and the sinking of Atlantis, and we are back in this lifetime once again to play our parts and to make sure that this time we can turn things around and bring humanity back in alignment with Gaia and the Universe.

The 2020’s were always going to be a pivotal time on the earth plane where there will be SO much change and it is up to us to navigate these changes, stay in our own energy and to stand up for what we feel and believe is right or wrong.
Now don’t get me wrong there is most definitely a place in the world for technology and for advancements along those lines, but when we allow a machine to think and create for us, we are using this energy incorrectly. Under the influence of Pluto in Capricorn we have seen and lived what it is like for others have power over you, to make decisions for you and to tell you what you should or should not do – and even worse to judge you for it. And so, we have had a taste of what it feels like to hand over our power, to not be allowed to think for ourselves and use our own critical thinking, intuition and knowledge and to have others tell us what to do with not only our lives but our own bodies. And for the most part, it was not a fun time!! So, imagine what it would look and feel like if it was a machine or a digital system telling you what you could and couldn’t do?
Healing with Aquarian energy
Pluto in Aquarius has every ability to bring us the change, harmony, ascension and evolution we are all needing at this time, but we must always be aware of the shadow side too. As Pluto takes so many years to move through a sign of the zodiac his lessons are slow and intense. He takes us from being the slave to becoming the master of ourselves and our own lives, but to do so we must face our shadows and overcome our fears so we can stand in our own power and have the confidence and inner knowing that this is what is right for us.
So, these next 24 years are going to be quite the ride I feel – and the more we can understand and make use of our own uniqueness, innovative thinking and ability to make our own decisions based on what feels right for you, AND is for the highest good of all concerned, the more quickly we will master this energy. But, if we allow ourselves to be swept away by technology, to continue to hand over our power and allow others to make decisions for us, and to see the mighty dollar as our only indication of success, it will take us a lot longer to master this energy.
As we move into this energy celebrate all that is different about you and love yourself for it. You don’t need others to do this for you, its all about you believing in you and you honouring you. When we have a loving confident relationship with ourselves, we can then have that with the rest of the world – but it must start with you first! Blessings xox
