Having a New Moon fall just before we enter a New Year feels very auspicious – a wonderful opportunity to not only set our intentions for the month ahead, but for a whole year ahead!
It is not uncommon for a New Moon to fall around the time of a New Year but as this is the second New Moon in one calendar month, and the fact that it is falling in ambitious Capricorn, this is one to make use of as much as we possibly can.
New Moons are for new intentions and what is really important to remember here is that we manifest and set our intentions more through our thoughts than our words and actions. You can be saying all the right things and doing all the right things to be positive and manifest what you desire the most but if you are at the same time thinking about what you don’t want, what you fear and how things could all go wrong, then THAT is what you will manifest.
Capricorn energy is a very grounded practical and ambitious energy. It is probably the most serious sign of the zodiac as it is ruled by Saturn, and it likes nothing more than to plan things, create structures and foundations and then work solidly and tenaciously towards achieving its goals. Capricorn is represented by the sure-footed goat in astrology, the animal that rarely loses its footing and always gets where it needs to go.
So, at the time of this powerful New Moon in Capricorn it is an ideal time to strategize, to formulate your plans and goals for 2025 and to create a plan to get there. As we move further into the Age of Aquarius, we need new foundations and new structures as the old ones that we have relied upon for too long are broken, out-dated, past their use-by date and just not applicable to the world we are now in. So, take time at this New Moon to put out to the Universe what you wish to achieve, accomplish, succeed at and create for your month and year ahead, and how you can create a different structure.
Now, the best way to manifest what you desire is to see it, feel it and be it. You focus your attention and your energy on the end result – what you truly want in your life – and you leave the HOW up to the Universe. If we involve ourselves too much in the “how” we inhibit our growth and our journey. This is because when we put our heads into it, we naturally want to formulate a step-by-step plan and we want to do this with the knowledge that we have in that moment. But, more often than not, the Universe has a better, quicker, more efficient and easier way for us to get there because it has the big picture. So, when we don’t allow the Universe to get involved by taking over ALL the steps and processes along the way ourselves, we cancel out that help and we find ourselves having to do all the hard work ourselves.
Now this is not to say that you just say “Universe, give me what I want – this is what it looks like” – No! We do need to take steps in the direction we wish to go in and we do have to learn what needs to be learned and practise what needs to be practised. We just don’t need to get caught up in the rationalising, intellectualising, micro-managing and step by step management of it all.
For example, say your goal for 2025 is to have more success in your career. You can use the New Moon energy to formulate a plan for this as in what sort of success you would like, what that role looks and feels like, and what your life would look and feel like once you had that success. You look to what you can do to create that success, e.g.; marketing yourself, creating a website, doing a presentation. And once you know and feel what your success is going to look like you let it go and hand it over to the Universe.
We have a couple more years of upheaval and disruption on the earth plane and so a very powerful intention I feel we can all set at this Full Moon is for peaceful resolutions, deeper understanding of one another and a world where everyone is equal and there is no division. It is each of our duty as souls choosing to be here on the earth plane at this incredible time of awakening, to give our very best to the collective and to ourselves. So, use this New Moon energy to project love, peace and acceptance into your world and the world around you and lets all step into 2025 with our eyes and hearts wide open.
