On 10 April Mars moves out of easy-going Pisces and into the very individual and independent sign of Aries. Mars will join the Sun, Saturn, Chiron and Neptune already sitting in the fire sign of Aries. Mars will join the “Great Reset” bringing action, passion, volatility and motivation to the table and this is a transit we ALL need to keep on top of.
In astrology there are 2 placements or transits that are considered to be the most intense and demanding and they are Mars in Aries and Scorpio in Aries. When Mars or Scorpio enter Aries, the gloves come off, and all you can see is what you personally need or want and what is important to you and you alone. Your own ideas, needs, beliefs and actions are all that matter to you and you are not open to negotiating, discussing or even co-operating if you don’t feel its going to work in your favour, or if you can’t see why you should.
When reality meets fantasy
When Mars is in Aries it amplifies the power of both of these energies. Mars is at home in Aries and therefore super powerful and super driven. And Aries is the first sign of the zodiac which means it expects to be in charge, get its own way and is not afraid to go it alone or stand up for what it believes in. This is an action-based and action-packed energy that will have all of us feeling more combatant and more than willing to stick up for ourselves and fight for what we believe in. Under this influence you will have unlimited energy for anything that matters to you, as well as anything you want to happen and/or desire for yourself. Therefore, this can be extremely useful energy for getting things done, stepping out on your own and taking the lead to get your dreams and ambitions off the ground. The Sun returned to Aries on 21 March 2026 heralding the start of a whole new astrological year. And Neptune and Saturn moved into Aries earlier this year bringing through the energy of the Spiritual Warrior and the clash between reality and fantasy. Mars joining the party now is bringing the action, motivation and will-power to amplify their energies even further.
Mars is an action based planet and so doesn’t need a lot of encouragement to go after what it wants and it is not afraid of confrontation, conflict or anger. So, when he enters Aries and joins the formidable 3 planets already sitting in this energy, we ALL need to be very careful with our words and with our actions.
Mars is also known as the planet of war and so whether we like it or not, this transit may well bring more volatility, aggression and fighting on every level as he moves through competitive Aries. And we can expect this both globally, within our own countries and regions, as well as in our personal lives.
Aries – my way or the highway!
Aries energy is a very black and white energy – the lens through which Arians view the world is often one where they come first, there is only one way of doing things and it’s my way of the highway. It is the “I am” energy as it’s the first sign of the zodiac and so it gives us the individual power, we need to be who we are. However, the over amplification of this energy can result in arrogance, self-service and self-righteousness.
So, my advice, take a step back and make every effort you can to think before you act or speak. Under this influence it will be too easy to over-react; to want to have your own way; to only be able to see YOUR perspective and to want to fight for what you believe in. At this time on the earth plane, it is very important that we all start to speak up and step up to stop the horror that seems to be growing on a daily basis. However, the challenge will be to know who the common enemy is and where to put our intensity, and NOT to fight amongst ourselves.
The powers that be, in the past, have been very good at taking these sorts of energies and manipulating them so that we turn against one another. But I would like to think that we have all wisened up to this, particularly since the beginning of this year. The best use of this powerful transit is to use the fire and passion of Mars in Aries to create change that will move us forward out of the mess we are currently in. Under this influence everyone will feel more powerful and this is very beneficial for those who feel like they are not heard or struggle to stand up for themselves. But for those who are already full of themselves, egotistical and ego-driven it may well push them over the edge.
When Mars is in Aries our tolerance for others, and especially for things we don’t agree with is zero, zilch, the big “0” and the more aware of this you can be the more you can make an effort to rein yourself in, to not over-react and to allow yourself time to process what is going on and then respond from an informed and clear position, rather than an emotionally driven one.
Are you making a difference or simply stroking your ego?
Mars in Aries wants to win, it wants to be heard, it wants to be seen and it wants to take the lead, but we can’t all be leaders. So, pick your battles people, and ask yourself “is this the right reaction?” every time you feel yourself getting wound up or heated about anything. Stop and question where your actions or words are coming from and if they are actually going to make a difference, or is it just about satisfying your own ego?
Always remember, your ego is NOT your friend. It does not have your happiness, wellbeing, peace and joy at heart. It would much rather you were upset, unhappy, angry, fighting and miserable because that’s when IT is in charge.
So, use this time to work on your triggers – to be aware of what rubs you up the wrong way or what you just can’t tolerate and do something constructive about it, or just let it go. Fighting, arguing and refusing to compromise is kinda what got the world in the mess it is in right now, so we do not want to be adding to this energy – not now and not ever!
And you can also use this energy to fire up your passions in regard to your work, your fitness, your hobbies and/or your relationships. Use it to find extra strength, extra purpose and extra focus on the good things in your life. Give those dreams and hopes you have for a better world ALL your focus and if those around you don’t agree with you or what you are doing, just let them, and carry on doing what works for you. But without anger or force.
There are no mistakes and no accidents
All that is going on in the world right now is necessary, as awful as it is. We ALL need to see and really see the evil in this world otherwise we will continue to ignore and excuse it. There are no mistakes and no accidents in the Universe, and the energy of Aries is all about new beginnings. So, let’s start as we mean to continue.
