Lunar Eclipses tend to represent “endings” in our lives and in the things going on around us as well.  Just like Solar Eclipses, that act like a spring board to propel us forward into new opportunities and new beginnings, Lunar Eclipses act as a spring board to allow us to let go and close the door on what no longer serves us, or has a positive influence on our lives.

What you think you create….

Now at ANY Eclipse we must be very aware of our thoughts and imagination as this is what we manifest from.  If we spend all our time at this Lunar Eclipse thinking about how everything could go wrong if we close that door or let go, then that is what we will create.  But if you can spend your time thinking about all the positive and wonderful things that are going to come to you if you are brave enough to let go, then that is what you will create.

This Lunar Eclipse will occur at the time of the Full Moon in Virgo.  Full Moons bring things to a head and they represent the culmination of what we set our intentions on at the time of the New Moon on 17 February 2026, which was a Solar Eclipse in Aquarius.  The New Moon in Aquarius was encouraging us all to step into who we truly are, to rebel against what restrains and controls us and to celebrate our differences in every way.  We were able to set an intention to be who we truly are, not matter who or what that is, and to know that in doing so we were honouring our sovereignty and taking a big step towards standing in our own critical thinking, personal power and beliefs.

Virgo energy is the energy of the perfectionist; the person who works behind the scenes to make sure that all the “t’s” are crossed and all the “I’s” are dotted.  One of the greatest challenges for a Virgo, or those with strong Virgo energy in their Charts, is to NOT fear failure.  I think any Virgos reading this will identify with this deep fear they have of failing or not being good enough.  When you are  Virgo, you carry a lot of judgement of yourself and of others and therefore putting yourself out there to try something new, or take on something you haven’t done before can be terrifying for you as failure is just not an acceptable option – EVER!  To overcome this fear many Virgos, love to serve others as this way they can do what they do best in the background, and leave it up to someone else to be in the spotlight and to take the responsibility. 

Virgo energy also has a great need to be integral in how this can come about and because of this it can come across as being very controlling.  The intention is not like the Sagittarian need to be in control because they know best – it’s more the need to see things done right, or “perfectly” from the Virgoan perspective.  Virgo energy is also the energy of the Healer. Virgo is ruled by Chiron in Esoteric Astrology and therefore has a deep understanding of what a wound feels like and how it can be healed.

Time to let go and let God

The first Lunar Eclipse of 2026 will fall in the sign of Virgo and so the letting go and closing of doors in your life will be ones relating to letting go of control, letting go of fears of failure and letting go of serving for the sake of serving.  This is a very powerful time to realise that we are a lot more powerful and have a lot more confidence with other when we “share” rather than serve.  For so long as you are serving you are making yourself slightly lesser than the other, but when we share, we are all equal. 

This can also be a wonderful opportunity for you to face whatever it is you fear that you will fail at.  There is really no such thing as failure, as its merely the case of not getting it right the first time, or even the second time.  And, every time you get it wrong you learn something new, so it’s never a waste of time to fail, it’s always a learning experience.  And it can also be a great opportunity for you to look at where you may be overly controlling in your life and how you can turn this around by not sweating the small stuff and picking your battles.  Use this Eclipse energy to really ask yourself why you need to be in control in certain areas and what it might look like if you just let go and let God?

This Lunar Eclipse really asks you to think about and change the way that you treat yourself.  It encourages us to stop judging ourselves and others and to rather love and accept yourself for all the wonderful things you are, rather than focussing on what you are not or what you feel is lacking in your life in some way. 

You are perfect just the way you are

You are a soul on a journey of learning and you have done nothing wrong – so practise being kind to yourself, letting yourself OFF the hook and stopping comparing yourself to others in a negative way.  You really are perfect just as you are and there is nobody else quite like you and that in itself is a reason for celebration, loving yourself and letting go of any thoughts that keep you small and insecure.  Full Moon blessings to you all.  xox
