On 20 April the Sun moves out of busy Gemini and into solid and methodical Taurus. Taurus Season is a time, especially in the Southern Hemisphere, that we start to slow down and focus more on grounding ourselves, and our goals, with reliable and sustainable foundations and practices. In the Northern Hemisphere you are moving into Spring and so there is new growth all around you and the chance for you to ground yourselves in new beginnings and solid groundwork.
No matter what part of the world you are in, Taurus Season is always a powerful season for getting in touch with nature in some way. The more we can connect with Mother Earth and give back to her in some way the more we are connecting and co-operating with nature and all that there is. In a world full of illusions, lies, untruths and misinformation, the natural world is our true reality. The trees, mountains, seas and lakes are real things that we can touch and connect with and in doing so we become part of our world and part of the Oneness that envelops us all.
During Taurus Season we can all become a bit overly preoccupied with personal security and financial wellbeing. Such things can easily be triggered under this influence making this a great time, every year, to reassess your attitude and feelings towards money and security and to become more aware of what is REALLY important in your life. Yes, we need money to survive in today’s world, BUT we also need love, companionship, fresh air, clean water and an open heart, and these things can all be worked upon and upgraded as part of the foundational work we do in Taurus Season.
Another challenge that may come up, especially for those of you who are Taureans, is a deep awareness of the power of forgiveness and how you can use this to set yourself free from the past. The biggest challenge for Taureans, and often not only Taureans when it comes to forgiveness, is the integral step that needs to be taken between the incident and forgiveness, and that step is called “acceptance”. Until we can accept that something has happened we cannot begin to forgive it. So, have a think about something or someone in your life that you are struggling to forgive and see where your mind takes you. Are you stuck in:-
- That was so unfair!
- I didn’t deserve to be treated like that!
- Why did this have to happen to me?
- It was all their fault!
If you answered YES to any of the above then you need to move out of these ways of thinking or you will never be able to forgive and move on. Every time you see the person concerned, or revisit the place where the incident occurred, you will have a physical and/or emotional reaction that will not feel nice. And the thing is, you cannot change what has gone before – its done, finished, over – so let it go and allow the forgiveness in. And one other thing to be aware of when it comes to forgiveness, is that it is NEVER about the other person(s) concerned, you don’t need their permission, input or presence to forgive.
To forgive a person or situation all you need to do is do this within your own heart and head. You DO NOT invite that person back into your life to do it to you again, and you DO NOT even have to have a conversation with that person to forgive them. You simply do it in your own heart and head and free yourself from the situation once and for all.
And for those of you who may be struggling with self-forgiveness (another big Taurean challenge) please remember that you have done nothing wrong. You are a soul on a journey of learning and you will not always get it right, but that does not mean you are wrong or have done anything wrong. Everything is learning and when we can look at life from that perspective it all becomes a whole lot easier, lighter and more enjoyable in every way.
The Sun will join quirky and changeable Uranus in Taurus who has been sitting in this energy for nearly 7 years now, making his slow transit of change and higher awareness. As the Sun shines light on and brings our focus to whatever sign of the zodiac it is sitting in at any given time, it will also have a strong affect on any other planets sitting in that same sign of the zodiac. So, I feel we can expect a few more curveballs and upsets to come our way both personally and globally during Taurus Season. No matter what presents itself to you, always remember that the changes that Uranus brings are 99.9% of the time NOT what you expect and may even feel that they are NOT what you want either. But, he always brings change that is for our highest good – even if we cannot see it at the time. It will become obvious in the weeks or months that follow that this was exactly what you needed to move forward, take action, let go – whatever. And particularly because Taurus is an Earth sign and therefore very grounded, practical and logical, the Uranus changes can seem very leftfield under this influence.
Uranus will be leaving Taurus to move into busy Gemini in July this year so we are now in the final months of this transit and this means that Uranus will be sweeping up and taking care of any stubborn beliefs you may be stuck in, and also helping you to be more aware of where in your life its time to move on to something new and let go of what no longer serves you. Taurean energy can be a bit of a “hoarder” energy and this can mean hoarding possessions etc as much as it can mean hoarding negative memories and beliefs. Uranus in Taurus during Taurus Season is here to take care of this and to keep you on your toes – especially so if you have been resisting the changes and refusing to budge.
