As we move out of Aquarius Season and all the freedom, innovation and revolution that it brought with us, we step into Pisces Season which usually means a softer, easier time for us all. However, February and early March 2026 are so full of planetary activity that it may not be until nearer the end of Pisces Season that we really get to benefit from its gentle, intuitive and easy-going energies.
February has been a huge month already and we still have more to come. The most powerful transit of February has been the movement of Saturn out of Pisces and into Aries fast on the tail of Neptune who moved into Aries in late January. On 20 February 2026 these 2 planets will be in exact degrees of one another at the powerful and pivotal degree of 0.
When major outer planets changes signs it’s always a big deal as it is the outer planets that create the most powerful influences and changes on the earth plane. As these powerhouses make their moves through the skies, we are somewhat under their spell. For example, while Neptune was in Pisces the world and its inhabitants were in a bit of state of illusion. Throughout this 15 year transit we were being lied too, things were being hidden and swept under the carpet, we aligned with and gave our energy away to the wrong types of power and control and too many of us believed and relied on the powers that be to know what is best for us. The illusional energy of Pisces was all around us and therefore it affected how we thought, behaved and acted.
From Illusion (Pisces) to Clarity (Aries)
Now that Neptune is in Aries its influence will be more one of individuality, clarity, action and independence, and under the influence of Aries the truth WILL be revealed, there is just no way it can remain hidden. Aries demands answers, knowledge and action and it has no time for lies, illusions, excuses or ambivalence.
On top of this Aries is the first sign of the zodiac therefore when any planet moves into Aries it is starting a whole new cycle of evolution and growth. Neptune takes around 15 years to move through a sign of the zodiac therefore for the next 14 years we will all have a lot more determination, motivation and self-belief to make changes and take on new challenges all based on the ability to put YOU first.
When Saturn meets Neptune, we have reality versus illusion; structure versus imagination, and restriction versus freedom. Saturn demands that we give our dreams (Neptune) a foundation to work from and although these 2 planets are very different to one another, they also need one another.
Saturn cannot create his foundations without Neptune’s imagination and Neptune’s imagination has nowhere to go without Saturn’s foundations. And so, we are stepping into of the time of the Spiritual Warrior.
Saturn is now settling into Aries for the next 3 years and as Saturn represents our lessons and fears that need to be addressed, we look to the shadow of Aries to see what we will be having to work on the most over these next 3 years. The shadow of Saturn in Aries is the fear that we may not be good enough; or that we may not be able to stand on our own two feet; or that we don’t have the courage or strength to step up and lead others. Wherever the Aries energy sits in your Chart will be where you will be asked to step up, to put yourself first and most of all to BELIEVE in yourself in every way.
The Year of Sovereignty
As we know 2026 is a Number 1 year – a year of Sovereignty and New Beginnings. Our lives work in 9 year cycles and so we are all now at the beginning of a collective new 9 year cycle where we get to create what we want to take us forward.
On 17 February 2026 we not only had a New Moon falling in Aquarius but it also resulted in a Solar Eclipse. This is the first Solar Eclipse of 2026 and therefore the first Solar Eclipse of this next 9 year cycle, thus giving it a lot of emphasis and power for change. Solar Eclipses propel us forward and tend to indicate and represent new beginnings and new opportunities for major change. Aquarius represents freedom, liberty, community, innovation and individuality. Therefore, this New Moon Solar Eclipse was a wonderful opportunity to not only set your sights on what you want to do and achieve over this next solar month, but also over the next 9 years. The effect of an Eclipse can last for up to 6 months after the Event, so you may not see any immediate change or opportunity but it will come, and it will have the full support of the Number 1 Year energy to add to it as well.
And 17 February 2026 was also the first day of the Chinese New Year of the Fire Horse. In so many ways 2026 is only just getting off the ground with all of these February transits and events and it is just a taste of how fast and forward moving this year is going to be.
The Year of the Fire Horse was last in 1966 – a time of liberation, the Hippy Movement, free love and the breaking free of old conservative and outdated ways of thinking and being. The horse bolted from its stable and opened itself up to a whole new way forward. The Fire Horse is a very powerful horse – it is the horse that knows its direction and its worth; the horse that does not wait around to follow the pack or do as its told; the horse that has a purpose and a race to win; and the horse that is intuitively and lovingly linked to its master, or Higher Self.
So, as you can see there are many energies re-shaping our world at this time and they are all based on moving forward, belief in yourself and not being afraid of change and all that this can bring.
Mercury Retrograde – time to go within
From 26 February until 20 March 2026 we have the first Mercury Retrograde for 2026 and this will fall in the water sign of Pisces. As we know Mercury Retrograde is our opportunity to go within and take time to process, review, revisit and rethink our plans, goals and wishes for our lives at this time. It is never a good idea to push anything or try to get anything new off the ground during Mercury Retrograde as the energies are just not supporting such action. Rather, the energies are supporting the inner work and the due diligence process so as when Mercury turns Direct we are ready to move forward and take action, we are fully informed, have all our ducks in a row and know exactly what we need to do first. So, use this time to look at your goals and dreams and see where they may need to be tweaked or altered in some way. Now that we are under the influence of Aries it should be a lot easier for you to gain the necessary clarity and direction you are looking for and so you can use this energy alongside the intuitive energy of Mercury in Pisces to really weigh up your options and to feel into them as much as you put your head into them. One of the important parts of this Year of Sovereignty is the ability to think for ourselves and to believe in what feels right to you. This first Mercury Retrograde blends our intelligence with our intuition so pay attention during this to your dreams and what they are showing you.
Mars, the planet of action, motivation and passion moves out of Aquarius and into Pisces from 3 March until 9 April 2026. When in Aquarius Mars takes on the role of the maverick, the rebellious one and the revolutionary. Therefore, it is no surprise how many people around the world are currently speaking up and stepping up to speak their truth and to say NO to the old ways. Mars in Pisces is a lot quieter and gentler. Mars in Pisces tends to be a lot more concerned with the needs of others than it is of your own personal needs and so this is a wonderful energy to enhance the compassion and empathy of all people. Mars in Pisces encourages us all to find higher ground and a higher more detached way of looking at and processing things. Mars will join Venus, currently also sitting in Pisces, from 3 – 6 March 2026 and so be aware of where your heart is being pulled during these dates. Venus in Pisces is wearing her best rose-coloured glasses and Mars in Pisces will just want to follow Venus’s lead! Love affairs and romances begun under this influence could be highly passionate and beautiful but unlikely to last once both Venus and Mars settle into the more realistic, eyes wide open, energy of Aries.
What you think you create
On 12 March Jupiter moves out of Retrograde motion in Cancer and turns Direct in this sign until 30 June when he moves into Leo for the next 12 months. Jupiter in Cancer expands on our intuition, creativity, family ties and need to better ourselves and our lives in some way. While he was in Retrograde motion we were being asked to look at our self-love and how we can grow and expand upon this to improve our lives from the inside out. Once he moves into Direct motion, we get to take action with a more empowered sense of self-love and self-worth in our outside worlds. We should feel more confident to speak about what we are feeling and to offer more understanding to those around us. The more we work on our own personal sense of self-love and self-worth the more we have to give those outside of ourselves and the more comfortable and self-assured we feel about ourselves. Wherever Cancerian energy sits in your Natal Chart is where you can grow and expand yourself in a very positive way over the next 3-4 months.
On 3 – 4 March 2026 we have the first Lunar eclipse for 2026 and this will fall in the sign of Virgo. Lunar Eclipses occur on Full Moons and as Solar Eclipses tend to herald new beginnings, Lunar Eclipses tend to initiate endings. And just as Solar Eclipses bring an extra dose of magical energy to propel you forward towards your goals and dreams, Lunar Eclipses help you to close the door and bring to an end anything that is no longer serving you positively in your life. So, be careful what you wish for!! We manifest from our thoughts and so keep your thinking positive; think about what you really want in your life rather than what you don’t want, or that is what you will create! A Lunar Eclipse in Virgo carries the theme of letting go of control and of worry. At this time, you may be shown or become a lot more aware of what you no longer need to control or even be involved with at all. This Lunar Eclipse is designed to push you out of behaviours and habits that only favour those who you serve, rather than simply serving you. Once again this is a No. 1 Year, a Year of Sovereignty, A Fire Horse Year and so it’s all about moving forward and breaking free of what shackles you and keeps you small. As this will be a total Lunar Eclipse it will also be known as a Blood Moon as it will appear very red in the sky as the Eclipse occurs.
The truth hurts but it sets you free
This Solar Month of Pisces has a lot going on and so now is a great time for us all to really start to practise our sovereignty and staying in our own energy. No matter what is going on around you, find that quiet place within where you cannot be disturbed and where only peace matters. I would also encourage you all to connect as much with nature as you can during these turbulent times. You may have noticed already, I certainly have, that the truth is coming out EVERYWHERE. Don’t be afraid of this and see it for what it is. We cannot rebuild our own lives or the world around us if it is sitting on and based on deception, lies, illusion and darkness. The truth will reveal all of this and more, but it will set us free.
