Gemini Season is always a breath of fresh air after the intensities and practicalities of Taurus Season. Under the influence of Taurus, we work hard, focus on our security needs and often spend way too much time worrying about money. And so, we are all in need of some lighter and brighter energy to get us through this next Solar Month.
Gemini rules communication, travel and socialising. It is the energy of the maverick, the eternal child and the adventurer. Therefore, when we are under its influence we tend to feel lighter, more optimistic and most definitely a lot more curious about life, change and what else is out there for us.
We can use this energy to step out of our comfort zones and challenge ourselves to try something new, take a chance on something exciting and to be more active and involved in the outside world. You may find that during Gemini Season there are more opportunities for you to socialise and meet new people as well as enjoy the company of those who you already know. The energy is very much about stepping out and being involved and engaged in the world outside of you, and all it has to offer.
The Sun will join Uranus and Mercury already sitting in Gemini energy creating a stellium of planets in this energy. Uranus will be activated by the Sun’s movement bringing not only a sense of confident independence, but also the possibility of sudden and unexpected changes in your life. For those of you who do not like change, this Solar Month will be your “guinea pig” phase. Whether you like it or not change will be the theme moving forward as we are all encouraged to step out of our comfort zones and open ourselves up to what else is out there for us. The challenge with Uranus is that more often than not the changes he instigates and brings about are not the changes you were expecting or planning on. They are curve balls; leftfield swipes and so it is best to expect the unexpected here. As difficult as this may sound and feel once you are in it, I can assure you that the changes Uranus brings will be for your highest good in the long run, even though it may not feel like it to start with. And when I say the long run, I don’t mean months and months from now you will understand and see why you had to go through this change. It’s more like within a few weeks of the sudden and unexpected change that is put upon you, you will understand and embrace it for what it is teaching you, putting in your way and pushing you towards. We are stepping into a 7 year cycle of Uranus in Gemini and that means 7 years of change, curveballs, independence and higher awareness and the more you fight it the more difficult it will feel.
Mercury is at home in Gemini and will be here until 1 June 2026. When any planet is working from home, it is extra powerful and will encourage you to speak up, share your knowledge and be a whole lot more social than you have been under the influence of Taurus.
From 2 June until 9 August 2026 Mercury will transit through Cancer with 3 weeks of this transit being in Retrograde motion. Mercury in Cancer is a very powerful and very intelligent transit as when this occurs, we are all encouraged to and a lot more able to, use more of our grey matter. When Mercury is in Cancer we all naturally think using our intuition and our knowledge in equal amounts. We find it a lot easier to rely on what we feel to be true, and we also can merge logic and intuition with ease. I will share more information regarding this lengthy transit in next month’s Newsletter.
On 7 May, Pluto the mighty transformer moved into Retrograde motion in Aquarius until 16 October 2026. When Pluto moves Retrograde all the transformational work and evolvement we need to do in our lives becomes an inside job. Pluto takes no prisoners and it is his job to make us very aware of what is aligned with us, what is authentic and real in our lives and what is not. This Retrograde period will shake everyone up, some in major ways and some in subtle ways. Basically, whatever is not for your highest good, or not aligned with who you truly are, or not the direction you are meant to be going in, will be brought to your attention. There will be nudges, awarenesses, lessons and experiences that put the writing on the wall. BUT, if you choose to ignore the nudges and lessons, Pluto will take charge and he will rip the rug right out from under your feet!
On 19 May Mars entered Taurus where he will remain until 28 June 2026. Mars whizzes his way through Taurus encouraging us to take action on all the foundations we have been working on and structures we have bene creating during Taurus Season. Mars likes to act and do and more often than not would like to not have to think too much about anything but what needs to be done. When he is in Taurus he gets slowed down, which he doesn’t really enjoy, but knows is necessary as we can’t always be pushing the GO button in life.
Mars in Taurus will allow actions that we take to be considered and thought out rather than spontaneous and instant. He can take all we have been working on, setting up and putting in place and make it happen or put it in motion in some way. Under this influence the actions we take will be useful and valuable and can act as the foundations for what we are still working on and manifesting in our lives.
On 20 May Venus entered Cancer and our need to give and receive love, compassion and deep understanding became very important to us all. Venus represents love, beauty and money and when she is in the sensitive and intuitive energy of Cancer, she is wanting to feel her way through everything. So, be aware that your emotional world will be deeper during this time and your need to be needed and to help others will also be accentuated. Under this influence it can be too easy to give your energy away and to see the needs and even rights of others as being more important than your own. Therefore, it will be important to keep your balance here and to always fill your own cup first! You can’t feed others, or even yourself if your cup is empty. So, use this energy to work on your self-love and self-worth as much as you use your energy to help everyone else around you.
Venus will join Jupiter in his final weeks in Cancer before he moves into Leo on 1 July 2026 for a 12 month journey through this sign of the zodiac. Jupiter expands on all that he touches and so when he interacts with Venus, he will expand upon our need to give and receive love as well as our need for security and wellbeing on a higher level. And he will also remind Venus of the importance of our personal values and ethics, encouraging us to put more worth on ourselves in every way.
May is one of those auspicious months where we have 2 Full Moons in one Calander month. On 2 May we had a Full Moon in Scorpio which preceded Pluto’s Retrograde move and got the ball rolling rapidly in what we need to release and let go of in our lives. It was a Full Moon that brought A LOT to the surface and it shone a direct beam of light on what was NOT working in our lives. Some of you may have acted on this awareness around that time and others of you may still need the Pluto Retrograde period to really let go and find a higher and more powerful alignment with yourselves and who you truly are.
On 31 May we have the second Full Moon of the month which will fall in the adventures and outgoing energy of Sagittarius. In between these 2 Full Moons we had a New Moon in Taurus on 17 May which acted as the grounding of the Scorpio awareness and then set up the Sagittarian Full Moon energy to bring in the next step, or the growth that comes from letting go.
Sagittarius energy loves to grow and expand and it also loves to learn and gain knowledge. The Scorpio Full Moon allowed us to let go, the Taurus New Moon allowed us to create new foundations and intentions, and now the Sagittarius Full Moon will bring it all up so we can grow and expand in directions and ways that are fully aligned with who we truly are.
This Full Moon on 31 May will naturally oppose the Sun in Gemini. Opposing planets always share something in common with one another and the thing that Gemini and Sagittarius share is their love for variety, stimulation and adventure. However, Gemini energy likes to dabble whilst Sagittarian energy wants to become the expert. So, at the time of this Full Moon, you will be made aware of what in your life needs more commitment, focus and hard work and what is just a passing fad. You may also suddenly see and understand how you can move forward and what you need to further develop or grow in your life that can lead you to being more experienced and knowledgeable in your gifts and talents, and in your true purpose.
All in all, Gemini Season will be busy, busy, busy and I would like to remind you of the Year that we are in here. 2026 is the year of Sovereignty, of coming back to you; what you believe, what you resonate with, what you feel to be true and what you value. The busyness we are experiencing can be so overwhelming and so the only thing to do is to come back to you and what makes sense to you. So, when it all gets too much or too busy, stop and breathe and ask yourself, what is important right now? You can’t be everything to everyone, and you can’t do it all, you have to look after you, put you first and honour what your body and mind need from you at this time.
However, this will be a wonderful time for you to get out and about a bit more; to try something new, have a new adventure, meet some new people or reconnect with friends of old. Take the opportunities to be social and to embrace change – even if you don’t know where it will take you. Enjoy being curious and being open and most importantly being YOU.
