I don’t think there has ever been, well certainly not in the recent past, a more significant Aries Season than this one! When the Sun enters Aries this year it will not only signify the start of a brand new astrological year, but it will also join the mighty planets Saturn, Neptune and Chiron, the Moon and Venus!
So, whatever sign of the zodiac the Sun is shining in at any given time, is our primary focus at that time. The Sun influences us very directly when it changes signs bringing in a new lens to which to view our personal lives as well as the world around us. And when the Sun is joined by powerful other planets at the same time all of these become amplified meaning that their personal attributes and influences are more easily felt and used by us.
When the Sun moves into Aries every year it signals the start of a whole new astrological year, and for many people this can be when things finally start to get off the ground. We have the 1st of January as our calendar New Year, and then we have the Chinese New Year which always falls around the New Moon between mid-January and mid-February, and then we have the Astrological New Year starting mid-March. So, if you have been struggling to get things happening in your life, now could be the time you have been waiting for – the light has changed to green and its time to step up and step out.
The Great Reset – a brand new cycle of change
What is making this astrological new year so significant is really all about Saturn and Neptune already being in this sign of the zodiac. If Aries is the first sign of the zodiac, then when ANY planet enters this sign, it is starting a whole new 12 sign journey through the zodiac, and this is a BIG deal. It is a big deal because it’s the beginning of a whole new cycle where we start at the beginning. It’s considered a major focus when any of the outer planets change signs because of how much influence their energy has over us, but when it is not just a change in signs but a whole new beginning or start over the world around us and our lives will have no choice but to change and start again too.
It’s been called “the Great Reset”, “the Great Awakening” because it is just that. We are entering a brand new cycle and we are the creators of what comes next. We have been in a slumber forgetting what we are capable of and what we have to offer and forgetting that we are all One and we are all part of the Oneness. The world around us is broken, dysfunctional and we are operating and existing in a way that is outdated, worn out and that favours the very few at the top. The world we are currently living cannot sustain itself. It must change and the 2020’s are the years it is going to happen. It is the end of the Empire as we know it and we have every ability to step into a new golden age.
From here on in things are going to get even more intense I am sorry to say and it is our job to keep in our own energy; to focus on being the best versions of ourselves that we can possibly be, and to rise above to find new ways forward.
So, it all sounds a bit dramatic I know but it is a very dramatic time. Change is coming and it is up to us, the people of this world, to make sure that the change is what will favour ALL of humanity and not just the entitled few. Aries energy demands to come first, to take the lead and to stand up and this incredibly powerful “I am” energy. We have this completely at our disposal to do work with.
The end of an Empire
Aries is a very volatile and intense energy and it does not easily take the back seat, follow others or be part of the crowd. And this is just the energy the world and each of us need right now to move forward. It is a time of new leaders, new ways of being and a complete change of guard. It is the end of the Empire and an incredible opportunity for all of us to come together to create a better, fairer and more peaceful world.
Now the day before the Sun moves into Aries, we have the Autumn Equinox here in the Southern Hemisphere and the Spring Equinox in the Northern Hemisphere. The Equinox is seen every year (twice) as a time of resetting and re-calibrating the world around us. It encourages us to get rid of the old to bring in the new and we can feel a lot clearer and more motivated under this energy. So, not only is the energy of Aries doing its thing at the moment, we also have the Equinox bringing its annual energy of change and reset as well.
Aries Season in general is a great time for starting something new and putting yourself out there at the forefront of your dreams, plans and projects. Aries energy inspires individuality and independence and gives you an extra dose of fire in your belly to follow your dreams and passions in life. So, as I said earlier if you have been struggling to get things happening in your life this year, Aries Season could be the time for the breakthrough you have been waiting for.
And the day before the Equinox we had a New Moon in Pisces which was your final reminder to remember what YOU want and to take those dreams, fantasies, imaginings and intuitions and make them real. Pisces is the energy of the dreamer and it is our dreams that we take action from.
Imagining and creating the dream
Now as well as the Sun moving into Aries on 21 March 2026, the planet Mercury also moved into Direct motion on this day too. Mercury has been in Retrograde in Pisces for the last 3 weeks messing with technology, communications and with our illusions. This Retrograde has allowed us all to look deep within ourselves to our inner beliefs and insecurities to see through these and the damage they do to us. Mercury in Pisces is always an opportunity to explore your spiritual side and to see yourself more clearly and positively for who you truly are and what your capabilities are.
Mercury will now be in Direct motion in Pisces until 15 April 2026 which is again about that dream, that higher goal you have that you want to make real. Mercury in Pisces can help you to communicate creatively and to share your dreams and ideas with others. It can also help you in your communications with Spirit allowing you to feel more support and guidance in your dreams and daily life.
From 31 March until 24 April Venus will move into Taurus where she is at home, thus making her a lot more powerful and natural. Venus is the planet of love, money and beauty and so when she is at home in Taurus it is these 3 things that she is going to be encouraging you to focus on. Venus also represents our inner values and ethics and when she is at home naturally, she will be raising the bar on these. When Venus is in Taurus it is a great time to align yourself with who you truly are. Venus in Taurus wants all the luxury and creature comforts not because she likes pretty shiny things, but more because they make her feel good about herself and they represent the type of life you want to live. She will encourage you to be a better version of yourself and she will help you to work hard to achieve your goals. But the biggest thing to be aware of to work on when Venus is in Taurus is your sense of security. What does security mean to you? And what are you prepared to do to achieve this for yourself?
On 2 April 2026 we have a Full Moon in Libra which will oppose a stellium of planets in Aries. Remember its Aries Season and Libra is the polar opposite of Aires. As Aries is all about “me”, Libra is all about “we”. This Full Moon is a good and solid reminder of the importance of relationships, community, friendships and partnerships. The importance and power of coming together as one no matter how different or diverse we may be. The more we can all understand and believe in the power of the people and what we can achieve when we all come together the faster, we can change this world for the better. But we can’t do it alone – we need one another and this Full Moon in Libra is a timely reminder not to get caught up in the “me” and to focus more on the “we”.
Now one of, if not THE most important transit of this solar month will be the shift of Mars out of easy-going and gentle Pisces and into the intense and self-driven energy of Aries. Mars will join the Sun, Saturn, Chiron and Neptune in Aries on 31 March and will stay in this sign of the zodiac until 18 May 2026.
Pick your battles
So, if you can imagine that Aries is the first sign of the zodiac and so all about individuality and coming first etc, and Aries is ruled by Mars which is the planet of action, motivation, volatility and drive, when these two forces come together things can get very heated, very aggressive and very egotistical. In Astrology there are 2 placements/transits that are considered to be the most determined and self-driven and these are Mars in Aries or Scorpio in Aries. Basically, when Mars is in Aries what YOU want is all that matters. You are not willing to compromise or co-operate and you most certainly are not going to be willing to take a back seat to anyone or not be heard. So, as you can imagine this is a very fiery energy where quite simply everyone will be wanting their own way, only caring about their own personal needs and full of self-importance. (From some of the recent political behaviour you would think that Mars is already in Aries, but its not and so things could very easily flare up again and again during this transit). However, we can’t all be in charge, we can’t all be the only one speaking and we can’t make it all about YOU and what YOU feel is right, or wrong. So, please be very aware of this transit and take a step back when you start to feel reactive. Pick your battles and ask yourself “do I need to make a stand here, or can I just let it go?”
This is going to be quite the Solar Month with so much intense energy out there as the world begins its mighty reset. Although all this Aries energy is about individuality and putting yourself first, it is also a wonderful opportunity to gain confidence, strength and purpose in your life. You can use this energy to put yourself first but not with the “my way or the highway” intention, but more in “what do I want and how do I make it work?” way. Focus on where in your life you want success, where you want to step up or speak up regarding what interests you and what is important to you. Perhaps you have an interest or hobby you need to take further or share? Perhaps you need to take charge to get some important jobs done within the home? Or, perhaps you just need some confidence to ask for that promotion or to take on more responsibility? There are always good and positive ways to use any of the energies of the zodiac but it can also be very easy to fall into the shadow of the sign too.
This Solar Month is a powerful reminder to believe in yourself and to put yourself first – not egotistically and not because you think you are better than anyone else – but simply because there is no-one else in the world more important than you! Use the Arian energy with love – use it to be the best version of yourself you can be and encourage those around you to do the same.
