We have a Full Moon in Libra on 2 April 2026 which brings in the importance of harmony and balance to our world. This Full Moon will form an opposition to the current stellium of planets in Aries. It will directly oppose the Sun, Saturn and Neptune all sitting in Aries, and loosely oppose Chiron sitting in the final degrees of Aries.
As Aries rules independence and individuality, Libra rules relationships and working with others. Full Moons shed light on our emotions and also bring things to fruition in some way. Tides are higher at a Full Moon and at a New Moon than they usually are, mental health challenges can be easily triggered at the time of a Full Moon. It can be a very sensitive and emotional time for many and it will be our relationships that come into the spotlight at this time. It is also a time of culmination and of harvesting what we have sown at the New Moon in Pisces on 19 March 2026.
Balance and harmony
This Full Moon has a powerful energy that can be used to anchor the importance of harmony and balance in our world. As I am sure you are aware there is not a lot of harmony or peace in the world right now and this Moon will shine the light very clearly on where harmony needs to be created as well as where it has already been attained. We may see some important relationships and coming together of groups, countries and communities announced at this time as well as new alliances being formed both globally and in our personal lives. The Full Moon in Libra will trine Pluto in Aquarius bringing more encouragement and inclusion for those who are prepared to be different and walk an alternative path. The Libran Moon shines positively on community and the bringing together of different people, ideas and ways of being that help and encourage us to work together and live in harmony with one another – no matter what our differences may be.
This Libran Full Moon will form a square with Jupiter in Cancer. Cancer and Libra are both the “people-pleasing” signs of the zodiac and so this square will further emphasise this need to keep things pleasant and to focus on getting along, and can appease the volatility and intensity of the Aries stellium. We will clearly see how we can choose to work with others and become a part of something (Libran energy) and/or how we can develop greater understanding and compassion for one another (Cancer energy) moving forward. Squares can be very challenging but they can also show us how to achieve a goal from a different perspective, that can often mean we have to step out of our comfort zone.
We can use the energy of this Full Moon to focus on our relationships with those around us. We can strengthen community, family and all other important relationships in our lives with the understanding that when we all come together, we have so much more power than when we try to go it alone.
Your most important relationship is the one you have with yourself
Full Moons in Libra however always remind us of the most important relationship we have in our lives and that is the relationship you have with your own beautiful self. Use this lunar energy to really work on your sense of unconditional love, respect, honour and self-belief. The more you can feel happy and secure in who you are the more power you have for everything else in your life and the easier it can be to work alongside others as you know what you have to offer and what you can bring to the table.
And last but not least, don’t forget to pop your crystals out in the moonlight for a good cleansing. Putting them out the day before the Full Moon, the day of the Full Moon and the day after the Full Moon will not only cleanse them but charge with the Divine Feminine and Divine Masculine energies – balancing them out and activating them fully.
