On 19 June 2026 Chiron, the wounded healer, makes the move out of Aries where he has been for the last 7 years and into the energy of Taurus.

The planet Chiron carries the wound of rejection.  Chiron was born a Centaur in Greek Mythology and to the Goddess Philyra.  Philyra was expecting and wanting a human child and so when she gave birth to a Centaur, she immediately rejected him and abandoned him.  Chiron was then raised by his father Cronus and like most of the Centaurs of this time was taught to fight and become a formidable warrior on the battlefield.  One day Chiron was injured in battle and when he came home to heal, he realised that he would rather teach and heal others than fight with them.  Thus he became none as the wisest of all Centaurs and was labelled “the wounded healer”.

We all have Chiron in our Charts somewhere and as he spends 7 years in a sign of the zodiac he creates generations of souls who have all come to heal the same wound, usually in a similar way.

Chiron – the greatest healer and teacher of  others

So, when we look at where Chiron sits in our Natal Charts, we can see where we have arrived in this lifetime carrying the wound of rejection and what we need to do to heal this. Once we have healed our Chiron wound of rejection this is then where we can each go on to be the greatest healer and teacher of others.

For the last 7 years Chiron has been transiting through the sign of Aries and the wound of rejection that goes with this transit is the belief that you are not good enough, or that you cannot lead others, and/or that you cannot stand on your own two feet and be responsible for yourself and your own life.  Sound familiar? 

Each and every one of us has been working on one or more of these issues over the last 7 years and because of this many of you may have faced challenges where you had to prove to yourself that you could do it on your own, or that you had to prove to yourself that you could be in charge and take the lead.  Or that you simply had to learn that you are and always will be, good enough, in every way.

Now that we have healed this wound of rejection and should all be feeling more self-reliant, self-sufficient and self-driven we will need to work on Chiron’s next wound of rejection as he makes his next 7 year transit through the sign of Taurus.

Chiron in Taurus – redefining true security

When Chiron is in Taurus the wound of rejection is all to do with our sense of security and safety in life.  Our belief that we are worthy and worthwhile.  How comfortable or uncomfortable we feel in the bodies we have chosen and the lives we are living.  How much security we have in life and how we define this, and whether this is serving us.  And the wounds of self-forgiveness and the forgiveness of others that can so often hold us back and keep us stuck in self-loathing and resentment. 

Wherever the Taurus energy sits in your Natal Chart is where Chiron will now be making his journey and this is where you will be challenged to heal what is broken here and move forward with the capacity and healing energy to help and teach others the same.

Over the next 7 years security and self-esteem will be areas of our lives where a lot of work could be needed – all depending on how secure and loving you are with yourself.  It will be a time of redefining security and what actually really makes you feel safe and secure.  You  may find you have been living under the illusion that your pay cheque makes you feels secure, or that the big house you live in is your safety?  Or you may have been telling yourself for years that you are secure so long as you have someone in your life that loves you?  Or, you may even have spent so much time acquiring material assets that you thought resembled security and success, but realised that you still don’t feel safe?  Whatever your beliefs in regard to these things have been to date, they will be up for discussion and re-purposing over the next 7 years and you need to be open and willing to do the inner work to get yourself to the only true security there is in life, and that is “inner peace”.
